Conversations between the Faithful and the Faithless

Criticism without Condescension

Conversations where a resident ex-Christian host can feel comfortable asking the difficult questions, while a devout Christian host is willing to face them head on.

Doubts Expressed Honestly

Existential dread. Heaven and Hell. A broken world with a supposed perfect Creator. Doubts and fears regarding life's great questions reside in all of us. For some, faith offers meaningful answers. For others, it only presents more questions.

Church Culture Under the Microscope

From altar calls to megachurch scandals, Justin and Kevin look honestly at the practices, failures, and patterns that shape modern Christian communities.

Hosted by Justin Haenisch (ex-Christian) and Kevin Carll (devout believer)

New to Tiger and Lamb?

Meet the Hosts

Justin and Kevin come to Tiger and Lamb from different sides of the same questions.

Together, Justin and Kevin are not trying to win an argument. They are trying to pursue the truth, wherever it leads, through honest conversations about faith, doubt, theology, Scripture, and the beauty and burden of belief.

Justin

Justin

Justin has always been defined by passion, whether that meant childhood obsessions with fictional heroes, deep friendships in high school, or, later, a faith that shaped his identity, work, and future plans. He spent summers serving at a Christian camp in Running Springs, California, and balanced school with church work and an unpaid internship while preparing for a life in ministry.

But as graduation approached, Justin found himself unable to reconcile his faith with the idea that people he deeply loved, including his best friend, could be destined for eternal torment. That tension eventually led him away from Christianity, not out of indifference, but out of moral anguish.

Kevin

Kevin

Kevin’s story begins differently. He can still point to the church kitchen where, as a child, he prayed the sinner’s prayer after hearing about hell at Vacation Bible School. Since then, his faith has been a long and honest journey through belief, doubt, Scripture, theology, science, history, and the difficult questions that never fully disappear.

Kevin continues to hold to Christian faith, not because every question feels easy, but because he believes God has given him enough reason and experience to keep trusting. Like Job and David in the Psalms, he wrestles with God while still accepting that God is God and he is not.
